Twenty Seven States Now Offer Minimum Wages Above the National Rate


Meat Cutters & Meat Wrappers ; there are now 27 states in this country that exceed the minimum federal wage of $7.25 per hour. Therefore when approaching the subject of more wage per our for yourselves keep this in mind. Use it as a leverage in your communications with management if you feel your hourly rate is not much more than the minimum wage in your state.

1) Alaska -$9.75

2)  Arizona $8.05

3)  Arkansas $8.00

4)  California $10.00

5) Colorado $ 8.31

6)  Connecticut $9.60

7)  Delaware $8.25

8)  D.C. $10.50

9) Florida $8.05

10) Guam $8.25

11)  Hawaii $8.50

12)  Maryland $8.25

13) Massachusetts $10.00

14)  Michigan $8.50

15 Minnesota $9.00/ Minnesota employers greater than 500,000 in sales under $7.25

16)  Montana $ 8.05

17) Nebraska $9.00

18) Nevada $8.25

19)  New Jersey $8.38

20) New York $9.00

21) Ohio $8.10

22)  Oregon $9.25
