Dr. Jeff Savellsaid in meats class, the only industry more regulated than the meat industry is probably the nuclear power industry. So many laws and regulations in place to produce safe, wholesome food.
It's hard to keep hearing misinformation about the safety of beef and beef products when we know the extent to which the beef industry goes to maintain one of the safety beef supplies in the world!
That's why we need your help to BUST ANOTHER BEEF MYTH!
MYTH: I don’t trust the safety of our meat supply because there are not enough guidelines in place for slaughter or inspection.
FACTS: Absolutely FALSE! In fact, the U.S. works hard to maintain one of the safest food supplies in the world. That includes USDA’s Food Safety Inspection Service inspections for all federally regulated beef establishments. Plain and simple, the establishment cannot process cattle or beef without the inspector present and all approvals met. This includes:
-- USDA inspection of all live animals before slaughter -- Elimination from food supply of any beef from animals that are sick or injured -- Post-slaughter inspections to ensure safety of carcass and application of a non-toxic ink stamp only for those that pass all inspections. -- Inspection of ALL meat product from the approved carcasses again before they leave the processing plant.
Some of these regulators should visit Napal, to see their food safety programs at store level. LOL>LOL> Napal has 28 million people and not a word about food-born-illness. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtUZV9C10tQ
