You can buy fresh crisp oats and pay a fair price for them or you can buy them after they have gone through the horse, they come a lot cheaper! LOL>   

Here is the Merriam Webster definition;  how good or bad something is

: a characteristic or feature that someone or something has : something that can be noticed as a part of a person or thing

: a high level of value or excellence

Here's one aligned with Deming

— Quality is in the eyes of the beholder. And in a business environment, the beholder is always the customer or client. In other words, quality is whatever the customer says it is.
