Simple test to identify knife skills for a potential new hire.
1) What should you do when you loose control of your knife?
2) In what direction should you cut?
3) How should I carry my knife?
4) What is more dangerous a sharp or dull knife?
5) How should I hand a knife to a fellow employee?
6) What should you do when another employee talks to you while using your knife?
7) Is protective clothing needed to use a knife?
8) Should you sharpen your own knife?
9) Should you report even a small cut?
10) Should I continue to work with an open cut?
This is just a partial list of questions to ask new hires that I made up myself. I'm sure fdarn and jimhenry2000 can make one up better than mine. LOL>LOL>
You can certainly put those questions in a multiple choice test. Maybe even with graphics as the possible answers. I can see the different lifting techniques being offered as answers in graphics on a test.
#8. I wish... All our knives are serviced 1x per week... Thankfully we have a good f. Dick multi...
#9. Every cut must be reported, better have your cut glove (but I've got the sutures and dermabond in the car if your in bad standing. I stitch the hunting dogs all the time 😉)
