I'm signing because I do not want to see the art of butchery be lost and there are many young people that are interested in learning and old world craft. I'm interested in seeing the quality And care of animals butchered the old-fashioned way

I was a Journeyman Butcher for one of the most successful supermarket chains in the north east for 11 years. I'm entirely discouraged by what I see in meat cases today.

I stand with those who want to overhaul the meat processing industry and see a resurgence in the craft of butchery, for our health and the health of the world.

An animal needs a caring farmer, skilled butcher and passionate cook to have a beautiful life and death. We need to make sure we have enough trained professionals to keep the cycle going. I do believe last time I looked there are plenty of farmers and cooks. Let's go butchers!
