A customer gave me a ego lift a few weeks back, she rang the bell as I was cleaning up, I went out to see what she wanted, she ask if she could get a pork roast about 3 lbs, I said yes ma'am, I'll cut you one and took off to get it, when I returned, she was happy with the 3 1/4 lb one I had for her. She told me she had stop down the road at another store, ( I won't mention name ) the meat cutter there had a attitude, She wanted a pork roast but all the butts were in 10 lb bags, The butts were 2.59 lb, she saw a sign for boston butts for $2.19lb. The case was empty so she asked the gentlemen if they had anymore in back? His answer and I am paraphrasing was: guess not, you can just buy the big bag if you want it that bad. she explained to him she didn't want to pay .40 a lb more when she didn't need 10 lbs. He told her to take it or leave it as he didn't have time to cut one and he walked away,
She told me I would be her butcher from now on as I show her I wanted her business. that was three weeks ago and she has been back every week, Good customer service got me a regular customer.
