Application Requirements.

In order to be considered for admissions to Muscolo Meat Academy, please submit the following items as a part of your application:

• Application fee of $50. This is required with your application submission. This may be paid with a credit/debit card at the close of the application process.

• Two letters of reference. These should be from someone who can comment on your contribution to the community, career or academic progress (e.g. teachers, employers, clergy, and community leaders) with examples of commendable achievements or attributes. These letters must be attached within the online application. References from family members will not be considered.

• Your current resume. This should detail your past employment, education and volunteer history. You are not required to have previous experience in the food industry. Attach in the application.

• A digital photo of yourself. This will be used for your Student ID. Please upload into the application.

• An official copy of your GED, High School or College Transcript. The GED, High School or College Transcript can be scanned and attached in your application.

• Copy of valid State ID. Please scan and attach.

• Your responses to these essay questions. Each of the five essay questions should be answered in 150 words or less and submitted in the online application.

  1. Why have you chosen to pursue a career in butchery? Outline what exposure you have had to this trade.
  2. What do you consider are the most important qualities of a successful butcher?
  3. What do you think will be your greatest challenge in completing the program at Muscolo Meat Academy?
  4. As a graduate of Muscolo Meat Academy, you will earn the title of Muscolo. What are your career goals, and how will this Certification help you achieve them?
  5. How did you hear about Muscolo Meat Academy, and why did you select us for your education?
