I remember the first time I heard about the Masters of Beef Advocacy Program - I was an undergrad at Kansas State University (Go Cats!) and was becoming aware of the need for more vocal advocates of agriculture and the beef industry. I dutifully watched the videos, completed the quizzes and even filled out the essays. Earning my Masters of Beef Advocacy designation was the first step on my path to be a better agriculture advocate - little did I know the huge impact the MBA program would have on my life and career.
Building upon the desire to be a better beef advocate, I, along with several other talented beef community members, have spent the last several months meticulously creating the new MBA 2.0, comprised of five lessons dedicated to expanding your beef advocacy horizons. Each of the lessons examines the safety, nutrition, animal care and sustainability efforts in place during the various phases of the beef lifecycle, with new up-to-date information on beef community efforts to continuously improve the way we raise beef.
I hope this new set of lessons inspires you to step out of your comfort zone and engage in real conversations with consumers. Who knows who you may meet, where the road may take you or whose world you'll change.
