Butcher Shop Owner Poem of Despair
oh where , oh where,could a meat cutter be?
oh where , oh where could one be?
have tried a few here, thought i'd find one near,
not one that can't put down the beer.......
so i looked outta state, trying to find a good mate
one that could break beef and bone out some deer!
much to my dismay, they have all gone astraycan hardly put in a full day!
snivel and whine,Lord i haven't the time to train them, like they trained thine
oh where, oh where have they gone?oh where, oh where, could one be?
i was once a young lad,many years agowanting to be a butcher, bad
all ears, and quick hands with an eye for successi learned a trade worthydid not settle for less
work hard,and play hard, all part of the dayis there a lad out there ? I pray
