It's been a while but I bought a head and worm for a very old Biro grinder from Kent Butcher Supply near Grand Rapids Mi. Don't recall the model # and I'm 450 miles away from it right now but 6642 seems to ring a bell. It was a 2hp machine that had the very low throat guard that people would modify to fit bigger chunks under then somebody would come along and stick there hand down there...that never ended well. nice to know that crew has so much time on their hands and work for such an understanding and rich company that they have time to run experiments at the companies expense.......just sayin...
I worked with Kent's for years. never had any problems. Dont' care for their website though they really should upgrade it so you can order from it.
about the grinder. I had that happen before too by accident. A knife that was used to open pre grinds fell of the shelf and got swept in with the meat. It was a mess. the screw had big chunks missing from it and metal shards were missed in with the meat.. It scary when you think about how easy it is for that to happen.
