I know that sign is for wally world and I'm thinking that they have a good idea charging an arm and leg for that mini ribeye. I thought we were getting a large profit when we sold ours for 5.99. If we sold it that high I don't think they would move, that is the same price as our ribeyes in an extreme value pack.
Aaaand this is why I make all my own signs. They expect us to have the file clerk do it, but there's no way she would know whether or not the descriptions are right, and there are always things not on the list I want to push. On an aside, those steaks are a nice economy cut. Especially since our Ribeyes are 13.99 a lb now.
Ha ha! No, this wasn't an April fool's joke. It's from Kroger and I was trying to make a case sign for Choice NY Strips. Scanned the tag that even said NY strips, but when I brought it up on the company's computer, this is what came up. (?????) I just printed it off for proof. I DID change it before I printed it with the correct wording. I just never heard of a chuckeye being a "lean" steak.
NOW i get it. I have seen meat called so many different names over the years that I didn't think anything of that sign saying Top and Lean. Kind of like how people call the Pork Shoulder the "Butt"
