i woke up this morning and the sun was gone, turned on some music to start my day, lost myself in a familiar song, i close my eyes and i slipped awayyyyy
leon,,, you hit a nerve with me- i love classic rocknroll
years ago as meat manager in a chain store, i tried to have a radio playing in the department,,,, the store manager would always tell me to turn it off... (as he said,,if i let you, then every department will want to have one)
working with independents, i see radios alot- and i like them - i think they are a great motivator
( i like them if they are playing rocknroll, not rap)
the muzak of years ago was elevator music,,,, now many are classic rocknroll,,,,
i remember setting up a new store about 15 yrs ago, new owners - i was charged with the meat dept transition, and training the crew.- it was shut down for a day- i went in 7 am on a sunday morning- worked all day, and thru the whole night, and cut the whole fresh meat set on monday morning-worked til 5 in the afternoon, with hardly no breaks- over 33 straight hours- music (and coffee)was the major motivation working thru the night and next morning set up,
i reminisce about the days of ole- will that old time rocknroll,,,the kind of music just soothes the soul
