I sell a TON of seasoned meat during the spring/summer months but now that the weather is gitin colder more stuffed items and stir fry items sell a lot better. I do 3 types of stuffing; apple/almond, wild rice and mushroom and a bacon/cheddar. what kind of things do yall stuff and what do you stuff it with???
I don't like cold weather. Sometimes it gets really really really cold here. It's even been down to about 34°F here once or twice in the last couple of years in the middle of the night. Usually doesn't get into the 30s, but it can still be real cold like low 40s.
People are funny. Except for holiday food, I never let a clock or calendar tell me what or when to eat.
Very nice gourmet section Ribeye! Yes change of seasons is definitely a change in buying habits also. More roasts, stew meat, and stuffed items. I'm in a small store where I'm the only cutter so It's hard to find time to do all the things I'd like to but I try to put out as much variety as possible. Just have one kind of stuffing (sage n onion) I stuff split breast of both chicken and turkey, pork chops of course, whole birds, turkey leg 1/4's, and have tried a couple beef items (round steak and flat irons) but they didn't go so well. I also do a seasoned and bacon wrapped tenderloin that some folks really like and looks real good in the counter and seasoned tri-tip roasts which are popular in all seasons.
