Wow It's been awhile since I've seen an old Biro tenderizer like this I'd guess late 1940's when they built machines to last the cradle assembly is almost the same as Biro still uses the original strippers/combs were designed a little different clean up was a problem as well as occasional paint chips in the finished product Later on Biro switched over to a smooth stainless steel housing and clear plastic cover now it's a Pro 9 it's always great to see the vintage machines Leon
the oldest "cuber" or electric tenderizer i saw was 18 yrs ago in a small town, it was from the early 1930's
i should have taken a pic...but you put the cube stock in from the front to the center of the machine, and the electric teeth/rollers, would roll it thru to the back side
i have seen this machine pictured , a few times- i use to visit most all the stores in maine that sold meat, and some stores have been continuously open since the mid or late 1800's -interesting to see what they have in their back-rooms
i always asked to see the cleavers, usually, their would be an old cleaver hanging somewhere, (and an old butcher block well-and worn table)
along with the cleavers would be an old hammer - some were the heavy wooden malletts, all beat to hell
