What a fantastic day for Matty ( Matthew Edwards ) at the NEC Young Butchers Competition Matty took 2nd Place in the UK Premier Young Butcher coming away with 5 Awards for his Skill, Working Technique and innovation in each of the categories. Barbecue product 1st place Seaming and fine trimming beef primals Runner up Ready to Eat product Runner up Stuffed Roast Joint Runner up Being overall 2nd Place Premier Young Butcher means he has a place now in the British Team for Young Butchers, the competition takes place early next year 2014. Well Done Matty keep up the hard work! I really like how they have so much appreciation for butchers over there. You can tell it is a highly respected trade in europe unlike over here. __________________
