Anyone want to take a guess on this


might be an old  meat tenderizer

 

it does resemble  some sort of bread slicer, but the top "teeth" has a bar/rod going thru it- also that top "roller" looks like the ends "roll" on the side rails....so my guess would be, a meat tenderizer-  the top roller/teeth adjusts for height...then there is some sort of  manual hand-crank  that "rolls" the teeth on the meat and tenderizes it

Yes, I say a bread slicer. There's a place nearby that still uses one.

 whatever it is, I think maybe that top part is the "crank". You just move it forward and backwards. if it's a tenderizer, it  probably didn't work very well and that's why we don't see them anywhere

It is a Early 1940's cube steak machine, mfg by Cube Steak Machine Co., Boston, MA, Model# DC, Serial# 7759, need oiling, but does work. for sale on ebay

 I just now found it in ebay. Never seen that type. There's another one with clearer pictures.
