Rich Products recalls more than 10.5 million lbs of products

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Rich Products Corp. is recalling more than 10.5 million lbs of products produced at its Waycross, Ga., facility due to possible contamination with E. coli O121.

The products being recalled have “Best Buy” dates ranging from Jan. 1, 2013, to Sept. 29, 2014, including Farm Rich Mini Quesadillas, Farm Rich Mini Pizza Slices, Farm Rich Philly Cheese Steaks, Farm Rich Mozzarella Bites and Market Day Mozzarella Bites.

Dutch authorities order massive beef recall due to horse meat

AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS – Food safety authorities in The Netherlands have ordered the recall of approximately 55,000 tons of beef from 130 Dutch companies over concerns the product may be contaminated with horse meat. The Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority initiated the recall after it was determined the customers of two European beef slaughterhouses that have been implicated in the horse meat scandal were unable to guarantee they had not received beef that may have been blended with horse meat. more
