Just came back from a trip to Mexico and thought that some of you would like to see some pics of how the everyday people of Mazatlan shop for their meat.mexico 2013 101.JPGmexico 2013 102.JPGmexico 2013 103.JPGmexico 2013 104.JPGmexico 2013 105.JPGmexico 2013 106.JPGmexico 2013 107.JPGmexico 2013 108.JPGmexico 2013 108.JPGmexico 2013 109.JPGmexico 2013 110.JPG

Very nice to see and appreciate. We in the states have gotten away from a good thing...shopping every day, and apprectiating "fresh" meats for what they are.

I've actually been here (about 20 years ago). It's changed. It was crazy to see the guys carry quarters through the crowd to their stalls.

the 6th picture down, beside the guy with the blue arpon, that steel looks like it's got a home made handle out of a piece of pipe??

Thanks for posting the neat pictures! That's how a market should be. I see about 50 things that could get you written up at Safeway (California). A lot of interesting things in the pictures. A cup in/near the top left corner of a shut door. What's it for? A knife or very thin steel stuck upright in the block. No gloves. Dangerous looking wires. Yes, the old grinder. Where's the sanitizer buckets LOL? Everyone's apron is very clean.
