Two alleged shoplifters were arraigned Sunday after police said they attempted to steal almost $1,300 of meat and seafood from the West Manchester Township Walmart. According to court documents, Christopher Dugan, 38, of the 2600 block of Stevenson Drive, left the store about 2:30 a.m. pushing a shopping cart full of meat. He was approached by police as he unloaded unbagged merchandise into a waiting Toyota. He reportedly threw up his hands, telling the officer, "OK, you got me," before jumping in the passenger seat and telling the driver to "Go." West Manchester Township Police Officer Justin Hobbs said he was forced to use his Taser on the driver, Victoria Wildasin, 48, the 100 block of Emig Street, to get her to stop the vehicle. Dugan was charged with felony retail theft and sent to York County Prison on $10,000 bail.
that use to be a every day thing at west end, and a few other places around Atlanta, Ga.
there is a store over inForestPark where 3 will get a cart full, go out the door and dare you to come get it. they use Binoculars to get the tag number and see what all they wearing, so the law when they get there 30 mins later can make a report.
Walmart would be the last place I'd steal meat from......just sayin lol
You got that right rd!
Once I was passing through a local wal-mart and noticed a young guy with 2 cases of Busch light in the produce section just eyeballing the front door. I bought a drink and still saw the kid. A second later he just walked right passed the greeter out with the beer. I told the cashier she should call her security, she just looked at me blankly and said "Why the hell would I care if someone steals some beer?" Since she works for wal-mart, I understand.
about 25 years ago, 4 college kids were shopping in the store, 2 of the kids had backpacks,,,while filling the case, one of the guys put 2 peeled butt tenderloins in the cart, I made a point of saying something to him, so he knew i saw him take them out of the case- I just said ,,those should be really good-dont overcook them,, he didnt say anything,,,when they came around the endcap of an aisle, I didnt see the tenderloins in the carriage anymore. I called the store manager he said- unless I actually saw him put the pbt's in one of the backpacks,,I couldnt approach him and ask... so I suggested after they get rung thru the register- have a lost kid alert-that shuts the doors,, the manager did this, I went up front,,,one of the guys had his eye on me---so I went over to the cashier,,and asked her if she scanned a couple tenderloins,,she said no....so we both looked at them.... I approached the same guy and said the same thing- dont overcook those tenderloins,,,then with a raised voice, asked the store manager if he was calling the sherriff,,he said yes (about the lost kid) I walked away, giving them a chance to unload the tenderloins near the floral,,,and they did!
