a lady customer wanted a frozen turkey, we had sold out so I point her in the direction of the fresh turkeys, she then asks me if it was ok to freeze the fresh turkey! LOL
id have said "id be happy to slice this ham for you,,,bring it back in the meatroom, then bring it back with a smile, "here ya go" and thank you, see if they say anything with the ham unopened.
I push for meat departments to sell thermometers around the meatcase, (also a "leftover" display with chinet plates and ziploc bags around the holidays) I've been asked many times, "how do you read this thermometer"? I'll hold it up, and say (without a hint of sarcasm) if you want to pull out the roast at 135 degrees, you wait til it reads 135 degrees.. ooooh,,thank you so much,,,lol

Ok ,I have one. My cleanup told me the other day that a lady came in and seen that we had a country of origin label on our Gr Beef and Gr Chuck. It reads USA/Australia. She inquired about the Gr Beef and asked him what were the feeding habits of Australian Beef. His exact words were Umm........Umm......I'll have to ask the boss .
