Never heard of it. Watched the promo video. Nice sales pitch but no real specifics

It is a name owned by PFG...Meyers Premium Black Angus used to cut it for them.  They now have it cut by another processor, probably to save money, named JBS.

Jbs is also swift

Swift & Company is an American food processing company a wholly owned subsidiary of JBS S.A. (BM&F Bovespa:JBSS3),

packerland, we use to get heel-meat from packerland and they did carry neck meat- not sure if they still do

I'm a stubborn old IBP cutter, and one of the reasons is this-they clean(steam the fat while hanging) better than most packers, the fat is creamy white, while some packers, the fat looks like its dirty brown, and you have to throw that all out, while the whiter fat you can grind into a fattier /price grade- even if you pay more for IBP, the yield is much much better

I know what you mean about the dirty fat that looks like it's been rolled in... well you know. Our IBP clods still have some of that at times though.  Companies buying other companies it's hard to keep track of who owns who. We used to get a lot of packerland at some places that I've worked, pretty lean stuff. Hard to believe the choice grade that much of it had. I've used a lot of neck meat in the past. It makes some pretty nice grind but if it gets to much past 2 wks of pack date it starts to gas up. A pasty maker I used to sell to sure loved it, the pastys he made were awesome if you know what those are most people don't.
