Does anyone remember sweet paper, and the hot irons used to seal the paper?

Donnyc you sure telling your age there !! The last of sweet paper I used was around 1961 when I was with Greer's and son's in Mobile, Al.

It would be fun to watch a meat wrapper today wrap a shank portion ham in it lol

I agree Leon. We sure heaped a load of work on our meatwrappers back then. But it is all relevant. We had alot of help and manhours back then to get the job done.

never heard of "sweet paper" although I have heard many a cutter tell me "peach paper" had sugar in it to keep the meat fresher on the tray. Don"t really buy the story but have heard it so much that maybe its true. lol
