[ncchoicesnews] Help support the creation for a butchery school‏

The message below is from our friend and frequent guest trainer Kari Underly, of Range, Inc. Kari has been to NC twice in the last year and shared over 40 hours of her expertise with farmers, chefs and commercial meat cutters in North Carolina. Kari is best known for her work on the beef value added cuts program, including the Flat Iron Steak and her recent James Beard nominated publication  The Art of Beef Cutting: A Meat Professional's Guide to Butchery and Merchandising.
One of Kari's current projects is to begin a professional butchery training school near her home base in Chicago. Yes, we know it is not North Carolina, but NC Choices is so fully supportive of Kari and her work that we are asking YOU to help her get this nomination for the betterment of the industry. Please see the message below and take a minute to log-in and vote for Range, Inc!
thanks

Subject: Please help Range win $250,000 grant

Good morning!
I am writing to ask for your help.   Chase and Living Social are offering twelve $250,000 grant to small business owners.  Many of you know my passion for ranchers, beef and the art of butchery.  If Range can collect 250 votes, we will qualify to be considered for the grant.  Right now we have 16 votes in the hopper and the deadline to collect the votes is June 30th.
If we are selected to receive the grant,  we will use the funding to explore ways to partner with the City of Chicago to open a meat cutting school.
To support Range's dream of opening my meat cutting school please go to:

Thanks Casey, we can build one North Carolina, too! Range vote count is 128 over half way there! We have until June to collect 250 votes to be considered.

Thanks again, this is truly a dream and it just may happen. Dare to dream!
