While trying to find some video's to help new member rd68910 see how to cut Assorted chops, I have found there is none that I can find. what few video's there is on youtube doesn't cover cutting whole bone in pork loins very well.
CAN I GET SOME HELP from some members that would make some video's cutting whole pork loins??? IF you don't want to post them yourself on youtube, send them to me, apcowboy@hotmail.com and I'll post them for you.
OR pictures of the steps, either you can post them or send them to me and I will post. cell phone pictures would work for this.
It's going to be a slow week in your markets this week, it's will give you something to do LOL AND it will help our youngblood members. THATS WHAT WE HERE FOR !!
I would say that if someone does this video they make sure that they say there pack size variences....Ive heard of some places putting 8 chops per pack...Us for example put 6 chops per pack.....
Thanks for all your help guys. Survived the 13 hour day just fine. Even got a thank you from the store manager today for holdin it together. The main issue I was havin with the loins was with the chine. Once someone saw me cut one and showed me that it was smooth sailing. I still think it would be neat to have a video though.
Will be nice to see how you cut in the States the whole pig, we have some different cutting,in the rest of the world!
As do we here in UK.
I personaly would never use a bandsaw for fresh meat, unless as pointed out they are for a pack in a supermarket.
I sell freerange pigs, and have always cut with hand tools (steakknife, cleaver and hand saw)and always leave the rind on as this enhances the flavour when cooking, anyhow we love the crackling(rind) being left on the pork.
I would love to show a vid but there is no-one to hold the camara, all the staff are on holidays.
