Our motto is just make em happy. Especially in that type of situation. We'd just weigh up the halves and call it a day. If it's a reasonable request we'll do it. The newer wrappers/clerks usually bring the items to a cutter to make sure though.

I agree with what the store manager did...we are hear to serve customers..I do what I can to please them
