Well here it is ( well nearly) the christmas week, Have all you guys and gals prepared?
How's the orders up/down on last year?
I am just about to do the lists to see what I need and order extra if needed,oh! the stressThis is one part of the year that you don't want to let any customers down ,but when they let me down I have to take it on the chin.
Well best wishes of the season and good luck out there.
I am ready! So far its been good this week. My regular customers are getting their orders called in for their baked hams, standing ribs, and other special orders. Being extra nice to my ( clients ) this week and next. Thought I'd find some small Christmas cards and write a small message in them and attach them to their orders. Along with the bows of course. And I make sure I say MERRY CHRISTMAS to them too.
Irish squirrel do you go for enough back to when we meat man got a lot of gifts from our customers. I had enough to drink after Christmas to take me up to March
Being extra nice to my customers does bring in a few gifts for me. But unfortunately, no hooch. But thats alright. Been trying to save a few brain cells a little more now these days . Back when I started in the biz, my boss used to give out 1/2 pts of whiskey to our good customers. Those days are long gone. I get a small bonus each Christmas in my check, but after taxes, its not much .
im hoping i dont get stuck with turkeys......im selling prime rib roast like crazy i got them on for 4.99......and bonless blade rst and inside rst 1.99
Well sales went well this year all the turkeys went unlike last year. All that done, now time to do some shop facelifting/painting. Next few months are very quiet ,giving the time to do those annoying little jobs in the shop.
