Who likes offal?

I just had a terrific dinner of lamb kidneys in a sherry sauce with buttered mashed potatoes. The kidneys were from less than 20 miles away and the potatoes were from my garden. It was awesome. I was wondering: HOW MANY OF YOU LIKE THE OFFAL CUTS???

I don't eat organs from the endocrine system. Just a general rule. I've tried menudo, made by a real Mexican, and didn't care for it. I would like to try thin-sliced fried beef heart. I like chicken hearts and gizzards...damn good with some cold beer!

...You know how to cook kidneys?

Wait for it.....

You boil the piss out of them!

I'm leaving now.

I LOVE menudo. I also like gizzards and hearts, but mostly if they're dipped in flour and fried in bacon grease. Don't care for liver from any animal but I can eat it if that's what's served. Kidney's too. I would never buy them, but if I'm at someone's house for dinner and they're serving kidney's, I guess I'll have to eat em. They're edible, just not real enjoyable.

I'll make you prime rib, mashed potatoes and gravy. Plus, your choice of home made deserts such as 3 layer German chocolate cake, 3 layer carrot cake, lemon meringue pie, various cookies, or chocolate cheese cake

I grew up with Grand Parents that were from Poland.
We ate every part of the animal including the blood
Heart, Gizzards, Livers, Kidneys, heads, feet, hocks

Some of my Favs are still these discarded gems

Just took home 30lbs of Pigs feet that I split on the saw and made pickled pigs feet out of them

Blood is double un good. I tried two kinds at a Chinese/Vietnamese buffet in San Jose. One was dried chips and put in a soup, the other was a gelled cube about the size of sugar cubes. Both were terrible. I chose to eat it because my companions were doing it too and I think it's nice to have an open mind and try everything.

Of course I cooked the kidneys myself. I do all the cooking at my house. Hell, I peeled the kidneys out of the lamb and skinned them as well. My favorite is lamb sweetbreads. I can even get my 5 year old daughter to eat most all of it! Next up is barbequed pig tails OR fried chicken feet.
