That's a neat video. Thanks for posting it. real nice looking counter. I liked the old butcher blocks. I've never wortked on one of those. We have wooden tables, but not genuine butcher blocks.

butcher29, when we use to clean those blocks, we picked up saw dust off the floor, cover them and took a  wide wire block brush and brush all the meat off, then poured salt on them with a little water and brush them off again, you had a clean surface with a light white color. We never made any one sick or killed any one, we didn't start that till the hard plastic cutting blocks can out.

I agree with you cowboy, I clean blocks like that for years,except we use some beach instead of salt, never made nobody sick.
