My lead cutter is making $17+ per hour. He's a reliable, trustworthy dude, but a VERY sloppy cutter. He's got 20+ years experience, but cuts like a greenhorn everyday! I've tried to walk him through basic cutting but he slips back into his sloppy trends in almost every instance. I'm sure you've encountered such an individual given your experience, how do you handle this person? He's killing my margin daily, particularly overgrinding and overcutting, but at $17+ I don't want to pull him off the blocks to mop the floor.
yes I have encounter a few of those types, after beening " NICE " a few times it was then to the outside of the store to have a talk. I've been very lucky & persuasive with all but one, he left lol
try a 6 pack of each grind rule i used to do this with my clean up kids at night .......keep six packs of lean, xl, reg, med grinds on the counter no more no less....and if u have talk to him and hes making that much money ....and not listening to you ....maybe its time to look for a new 17 an hour guy....sux to say but your there to make money not lose it
