What do you think of secret shoppers?

I really dislike secret shoppers. I'm happy we don't have em where I work, but I've had them in other stores where I used to work.
I think they're a real low form of life. Adults who wish they could have been hall monitors in 6th grade and still have issues with it.
If you're not doing well with customers, a REAL customer will report you. They don't need paid shoppers pushing your buttons, asking stupid questions just to test how you'll react.  Were all very busy and don't need to be tested twice every week. I love to help really customers, but it's offensive if they're asking things they don't really have a need to know about. Ratting us out because we didn't smile, didn't have a name tag, whatever. Maybe we were off duty and on the way out. The shopper doesn't know.

RE: What do you think of secret shoppers?

Hi Larry
I use to have to put up with them at Winn-Dixie, At that time I was on the evening shift  Fri & Sat.  they for some reason like to hit on those days. I had a A+ with them except for one time, my store manager came to me the next day and was popping off about I had got a b the night before because beening in a hurry I didn't come out from behind the meat case to check a spot box for the item wanted but had tip toe and looked from behind the meat case, not seeing it I said we didn't have it but there was one covered up in the far side.
Any way my store manager was popping off about me getting a b, since I was one of the best he ever seen with customer service, a super star,  my answer to him was very simple, " even O J had a bad running day sometimes  "

I just got written up for a secret shop with a score of 95% (only 100 is acceptable). The comment card read "member was super nice and knowledgeable." But I didn't say all the magic phrases, offer a sample or suggestive sell the item of the week. Two more under a 100 and (theoretically) I'm fired!

Hello meat monkey, glad to see you here !
once while working with Winn-Dixie I had to deal with them. I got a A every time but once,  I got a b that time. the store manager came popping off his mouth " how could I get a b with my customer service ?

lol my answer to that was, " I'm a super star like

"O. J." Simpson, BUT even he had a bad day sometimes and walked away.
end of his mouth lol

I could care a less of those secret monitors. We do have them once in a while, never had the pleasure myself.Do the job right and treat your customers right you won't have a problem.Even some of those crankers that we all get, they hate it when you are finish with them to have a great day.
