Is this what we want to be our legacy as veteran meat cutters? Something's go extinct when the last existing member dies. Extinction therefore becomes a certainty when there are no surviving individuals that can reproduce valuable information to a new generation. Other things may become "functionally extinct" when only a handful of individuals survive, and don't have enough support of the whole to carry on. I guess our Meatcutters Club has become "functionally extinct" on its way to total extinction. This is a sad but true conclusion.
I have been a part of a self-help group since the 1980's. Self-help-groups, also known as mutual help, mutual aid, or support groups, are groups of people who provide mutual support for each other. In a self-help-group, the members share a common problem. Likewise it is with our Club. We are here to help solve common problems, listening to one another's issues, and coming up with solutions. Helping, guiding, sharing not only knowledge but personal experiences.
Our traditions as meat cutters have been handed down from previous generations. Lets keep it going through the Meatcutters Club.
"Success isthe sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out."
