A Tribute to a Brother of the Knife

ROBERT HORNING

Robert was a Club member of meatcuttersclub.org and our Face Book group Butchers/Meat Cutters. He was in a number of food, cooking and sausage making groups.

Robert started in 1967 at A & P Warehouse in Harahan, LA , He worked many big companies over his years Winn Dixie, Breaux Mart, Hilton Hotel, New Orleans, LA, Jitney Jungle, Wal-Mart, Piggly Wiggly, Ramey's in Prentiss, Ms. 

His cause of death was Congestive Heart Failure he dies on 7-23-15 he was a meat cutter for 48 years. He started cutting meat at the age of 21. He was 70 when he passed.

Robert was not active in the Club but very much so in our Butchers/ Meat Cutters group. I use to talk with Robert some on Face Book, he had a great love for our trade and was very knowledgeable in it. He had a great love for his wife and sharing the good book.

Robert will be miss by many of his brothers and sisters of the knife on Face Book

It takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, and a day to love them, but it takes an entire lifetime to forget them. Rest in Peace brother of the knife.
