That's correct. I wanted to say it too, but I felt with my time in, I should let someone else guess it.
the long bone exposed is the femur, the white joint at the top would be the patella

Aren't we talking about the little bone at the bottom where the knuckle, AKA sirloin tip, is hanging down?
if so that is the patella (knee cap)
