Zimmern, LaFrieda meet up — or is it meat up? — in TV sales venture

Andrew Zimmern, star and host of Travel Channel's "Bizarre Foods," has teamed with New York's Pat LaFrieda to produce "Andrew Zimmern, World's Best Meats," a TV and online shopping program for "fresh, never frozen meats and sausages," presented on EVINE Live Inc.

"Andrew Zimmern, World's Best Meats" also is the name of a line of meat products that the pair will launch with the premier of the program on September 8th.

According to a release about the program, "Andrew has curated a unique selection of meats and sausages sourced from trusted family-owned farms. Delivered fresh, never frozen to the customer's doorstep, Andrew Zimmern: World's Best Meats ensures first-class flavor that can't be found at retail butcher counters and shops.

"During the launch, Andrew will present a variety of quality cut meats, including Sweet Italian and Hot Italian Sausage, Sierra Cut Steak, Pork Tomahawk Chops, Lamb Ribs and Merguez Sausage and more."

"World's Best Meats" will be shown at 11am and 4pm ET on TV and online.
