Gibsonville NC…Piedmont Custom Meats, Inc. (PCM) announced today that it will open its Value Add Smoking Center before the end of July 2015. President and CEO Donna Moore said “we are in the final stages of meeting the USDA requirements to offer these products so our begin date is somewhat fluid at this point. We are currently testing our equipment, best manufacturing practices protocols and our recipes. We have received an overwhelming amount of requests and we are pleased to now be in a position to meet the additional needs of our customers.” The company will start offering its current customers smoked bacon and sausage products and progress into other products in the following months. In the future the company will accept raw product from other USDA facilities with appropriate Letters of Guarantee.
