I think when Mothers stop taking their daughters grocery shopping with them back years ago was a big mistake, the ladies know nothing about how to cook and what best to use.

That hasn't happened yet where I live or visit. I see lots of mothers with children all the time at every store I work and shop at.

I can't argue with that.  Texting or talking is what they will be doing.

Had one ask me the difference between ground beef and ground pork a while back.

I didn't know what to think the first time I had someone ask for a "boneless porterhouse steak".

I was even more surprised when more than one person asked for it

You can blame celebrity chefs for that one.

I had one of our meat cutters respond to a similar question, "I cut it. I don't cook it." The best one I had was a Lady came in wanting us to grind a whole tenderloin for burgers. We all tried to talk her out of it. We recommended chuck or brisket but this was her son's birthday request. So I went ahead a ground it for her.

About a week later we saw her again and asked how were the burgers they barbecued last week.

"My husband burned them." She said. True story.
