exotic meats

what is the most exotic meat youve tried and how do you rate it to beef or chicken.

ive tried buffalo not very erotic oops i got the joke in first but to me a bit of sirlion was better than a bit of fillet beef it was tender and tasty.4

Ive tried gator I thought someone chewed up a pork chop sucked all the flavour out and floured it and fried it.

Ostrich was nice I had it in a burger in cambridge UK very much like beef.

Probably not that exotic but what have you tried?

photo CajunConnection1_zps8f6ddd57.jpg I was born and raise on the Gulf Coast, it was a short driving distance to Biloxi, Ms.  I use to stop at a place their and have some Gator Tail. I like it Cajun style.  Frog legs are good too, a young friend of mine turn me on to them.

I have had a very unique career. Here are some of the items I've been lucky enough to taste. Elk, antelope, snake, all kinds of small game, buffalo, many many more. The most exotic I would say was Lion. I was doing ice carvings for a wedding once, the folks were from Africa and the chef let me taste lion. It was a bit like a harsh wild game flavor. I also had an opportunity to taste monkey, but I had to pass. The smell to me was off putting. I do wish now I had at least tried it, you don't get those chances often.

Being from louisiana, I think a lot of things we eat are considered exotic but I guess the most exotic meat I have eaten is bnls kangaroo loins and kangaroo ribs. The loin is a ruby red and is similar to deer blackstrap. Must be coded rare to medium. Very tasty
