Headmeat

We cut up and use headmeat for ground chuck. I know a lot of stores around Missouri seem not to be using it. Instead they are using Fine grind in the tube. I was just wondering who uses it and who doesn't.

Headmeat is a 60 pound block of trimms that we get through AWG.

RE: Headmeat

Tyler7488, I use to go through about 20 cases a week, it was 30 lb boxes, I used it mostly to lean up my trimmings and to add fat to when I run Sat specials of family pac grind to make the cash register ring. Before opening a case I didn't know if it would grind out hamburger, chuck or round. At the time I paid 89 cents for it and family pac grind was I.29   so I make a nickel or so off it  lol

Its about that way nowadays. I like using it because the tube stuff seems like its missing something in the flavor department.
