How many of you have customers that have your cell phone number and can call you at any time of the day or night to place a meat order with you or to ask a question about meat.
I have a several that have my cell phone, but I limit it to ones that I know would respect and not abuse it. I am usually at the shop 7 days a week so when I am home I don't care to be called unless an emergency.

If you own the shop, I could maybe see this happening. But it would probably be better to just have an answering machine at the market for non business hours.
I don't own the store, so I would not like a customer having my cell number.
I don't mind friends/family calling me about meat. I can tell them what they can drop by and get. But a customer that I only know from the store. I'd rather not.
I would never give a customer my cell phone number unles she was cute. We are not doctors on call. We don't get paid even close to enough to give that kind of personal attention.
