I would like to ask you to remember Dawn and her Father in law, Dan
Dan is pretty much doing about the same. The doctors won't schedule a new CT scan until next Tuesday unless something significant changes. He now has pneumonia, which the doctors say is common with people who have strokes and on a respirator. He has fever that comes and goes and they are trying to keep it under control with ice packs, etc. so he doesn't get an infection in the blood which is in the brain. The blood in the brain is deep inside, so surgery is not an option. They are now limiting his visits to every 4 hours because they want him to rest, so the family is camped out in the waiting room and basically it's just wait and see what happens. Yesterday when the doctor came in to talk with family, they were not very optimistic. They said they felt like his legs moving/kicking here and there were more a result of his spinal cord than his brain telling them to move. They also said he may never open his eyes and if he does come to, he may never be able to fully walk again. We just have to pray really hard and wait to see what happens. Sounds like it could be a long wait. Please keep praying with us!
Thank you everyone for all your thoughts and prayers. The doctors didn't give us a very good prognosis this morning. We are all very torn and upset. It's hard to watch loved ones go through such a tough and trying time. We are praying God will intervene in this situation, one way or the other, so the family isn't left to make the decision in the coming days. Your continued prayers are very much appreciated!
