I had a very good meeting with Mrs. Veronica French, Marketing and Communications Manager at Downtown Dalton Development Authority this past Friday.
We discuss a number of things, A meat cutting school for the Dalton area and a number of differ meat related festivals including a possible meat cutting contest. She is very dedicated in helping the Dalton area Local Food Movement and help to bring in the Dalton Farmers markets which is bringing big crowds downtown in the Greater Dalton region, and making it easier than ever for residents to enjoy locally produced food and goods.
I feel we will be allies in the meat cutting school and hopefully we will be able to get it in. Plus there were many ideals she has I like also about the differ meat festivals she would like to have for our area. A Meat Cutting Contest with a Food Festival would be OUTSTANDING.
meat cutting school is a good idea ever since 1966 when i went to the National School of Meat Cutting in Toledo ohio i thought it was a great idea 3 floors ground floor all retail with the students 2ed floor cutting & display traing with the saws ... and kniff sharping etc. 3rd floor cutting tests and book work. classroom setting idenity tests and much much more
I just got off the phone with Senator Charlie Bethel, The Senator of my District, He is going to put me in contact with the people to make the decision to add a meat cutting course to our local GeorgiaNorthwesternTechnical College and tell them he thinks it's a good ideal. Should hear from them this week.
