Ahold reportedly looks into acquiring Harris Teeter

Royal Ahold has signaled interest in grocery chain Harris Teeter, which is considering a sale, sources say. Though no offer has been made, the Dutch company reportedly has contacted JPMorgan Chase, which is evaluating options for Harris Teeter. Ahold owns grocers including Stop & Shop Supermarket
