settle for what i have or start up on my own????

What will you be giving up if you quit? Job security? paid sick days? Holidays? Health care? More money? If refrigeration goes out, it's not your problem. If someone is stealing, it's not your problem. If you work with a flake or two, although irritating, it's not really your problem.

What will you gain if you quit? Freedom from idiot bosses? More money? Freedom from that one coworker that bothers you? The right to refuse service to anyone? You can choose your own music? Freedom from stupid rules? Can you get good help? What if you want a two week vacation? Even if you can afford it, what will happen while you're gone? What WONT happen while you're gone?

Only you can make the decision but something to think about is always have a back up plan, alot of business that are profitable close because of cash flow, not because they are not profitable. If you have alot of cash thats great if not build a relationship with a lending institution before you go into business so you can get through the lean times.

You might think about the business of harvesting and processing beef to partly supply a few small retail outfits.
