Moving on to another shop!

Well my formal training was completed after a month in Kotzebue, Alaska. Finally after a little over three months a managers position finally opened up in Cordova, Alaska. Flying out on Monday to take over this shop. Only downside is in this area there is no employer paid housing; however, I am getting a nice pay raise and taxes will no longer be deducted for my "added income" from housing so I will actually be doing better than before. Plus I start earning my yearly bonuses. The cost of living in this area is much cheaper and there seems to be so much to do. Ski resort in the town, tons of hunting and fishing, plus tourists during the summer time. I tell you what, this young man will be a very busy cat. This company has been excellent to work for and has been more than superb with me. Paying for the flight to Cordova, shipping all my stuff down, putting me up in a hotel for up to a month to find a place to stay, and if I get out of the hotel within two weeks they are paying the first months rent. This is how a company should treat their managers. Not bad for turning 24 in July.

I will be sure to snap some. Yes the meat business has a way of drawing you back in! I do intend to get back into college full time. Hopefully advancing my career within this company would be very nice.

The store I'm currently in Kotzebue everything is flown in. No roads. Cordova is a little different. Most of the stuff is barged in from Seattle.

Rib roasts I believe are going to be around $10.28/lb in Kotzebue on sale. All meat is St. Helen's select beef.
