Glad to see Wal Mart on the list.

I liked the  Jewel-Osco V8 powered shopping cart. Looking at the engine,  it's funny that the bags in the cart say "Earth Day Every Day" on them

Pathmark,A+P, Stop and Shop. all three were in business when i was growing up. Add Grand Union, Walbaums, Finast and even Shopwell. My mom really didnt like any of them....

I would have guessed Pick N Save would have showed up in this one.
I worked 11 years for them and the first 6 were the best, the last 2 were the worst
Profits became the focus and they lost sight of the customers
Too bad
They have an incredible 70% Market Share which is unheard of in the industry
Mejier is about to move into their territory so it will be interesting to see

Roundy's has actually defeated Whole Foods and twice sent Jewel Packing back to Chicago
