I was told today that because i didn't like that i was ask to give up my overtime i am looked at as unreliable know this wasn't OT due to any thing i did or didn't do I was schedule to come in 3 hours earlier for a benifits meeting that last 1 hour of which 10 minutes were spent on benifits. at the beginning of the meeting it was stated that the meeting was held at this time just to see how many people would come in. now i dont mind giveing 10 -15 minutes OT up i figure that at one time or other i could have been doing something and wasn't took a longe 10 minute break or something can i get some feed back from other cutters managers and non managers
There has been some times that a store manager or opener was late opening the store, when I came into the door I would tell them I was here and you weren't, write me in at my time and I would walk on. I've had a few that didn't want to do that but my answer was, I was here, you weren't, sorry I'm not taking a loss in pay or staying longer to make up for your mistakes. you got a problem with it call HR. they didn't want to have to tell HR that they were late.
I have been called to a couple meeting and they were called off AFTER we clocked in for it, I sat for the time allow for the meeting then clocked out as I had Got up, came in, not going to give you my time because you can't get your **** right.

I'd like to try to help you, but I don't understand one thing you wrote.
You'd better take a stand on this. Here's my POV: When I clock in, I work and expect to get paid until I clock out. I DO NOT work off the clock. I'm not in the charity business. I'm in the money making business same as you. If you (management) doesn't like it, we'll part ways. And if you owe me money, I will collect.
That's just sound business sense. You'd be wise to start looking for other employment. If this is how they want to treat you now, just think of how they'll treat you later.

if that dumb reason they said the meeting was for, then i'm dumb enough to want my money for it.
It doesn't matter what a meeting is about. You get paid for it. Also, (if you're union) they can't have a break in your schedule like that. You can't work (a company meeting is work) for an hour and then take a two hour break and then begin an 8 hour shift.
For example, they can't make you open (5 am - 9 am) and then take a 7 hour break and then come back and close (4 pm - 8 pm). Your shift is 8 hours with an hour or 30 minute lunch added somewhere reasonable.
If there was a meeting 3 hours before your shift, then they have 3 choices.
1: do not allow you to attened the meeting.
2: adjust your schedule (Come in 3 hours early and leave 3 hours early).
3: schedule you for 11 hours paying 8 straight time and 3 overtime.
