tho i am no butcher,i cut meat for about 10 years till i was disabled. i was the first of my kind in 2 different stores. i am certian i got the second job just because the store manager thought it would set his store apart to have a lady meatcutter. i always felt by being a lady meatcutter it gave me a little edge with the mostly female customer. there were a lot of women who would ask me about preparing certin cuts, and i think they found me more credible in that department than my ability to actually cut meat. but all in all it was a job i loved and still miss to this day. and it's nice to be able to save money buying whole cuts and cutting it at home to suit my families needs
Well, No I am NOT no Lady Cutter too, I had to come see,,,lol
You can call me low class , but i love it when a women tell me She NO Lady,,lol
But reason for the post here and a note , Maybe two new topic here.
One and to Leon if you see this, on your meatcutters school . To training on basic Cooking, As Nana Noted, How many cutters do not know what cut is for what, and to Sales. I had a Very Good cutter once sold a lady- WOMEN,,lol a Rump roast. pulled it out of the cooler for her to cut her a Roast for a Pot Roast. He got a Bottom out, cut her the rump end, when We had 7 bone chuck in the counter.
If One going to run sales , one got to know something about the cooking end of it. and To improve customer sales.
Also, noted Nana, that you stated that your No butcher,, NOW where I work up north Seattle most, you could get cut IF you called someone a butcher. That was a insult to call a fellow cutter a Butcher. Being you butcher the meat then cutting it. A Butcher is the one that those the processing - slaughter.
Should that be a topic ot not. ,,,,
You a Butcher or a meat cutter, or both would be fine by you ? as too a label name
