not yet. I would like to be but michigan's weather won't make up its mind . it seems the closer we get to summer the nastier the weather gets. I ll probably start doing my kabobs memorial day weekend.

depends how they are displayed- some places display just the chucks and call them kabobs, some places will put two rows of chunks in a 10s tray then place two wooden skewers in the tray

but the most successful places place the pieces on the skewers with veggies on them-the veggies are great color for eye appeal

also depends if it's a full service display or self service

The mistake many places have made, has been introducing nice looking kabobs in the case, but they over price them 8.99lb

I recommend targeting sale items, and make kabobs w/veggies
if bnls chicken breasts are on sale-make some kabobs - but keep it priced right and they will sell.

for red meat - if you start making kabobs from rounds, they may look good-but they can be very tough-many successful places use flap meat and top-butt sirloins
my fav is shoulder tenders (teras majors)

Patties & flavored patties are going great guns. Kabobs are selling nicely also. Being strictly a meat market with very limited produce I sell "carnivore" kabobs. All meat, Beef, chicken, & sausage. I have quite an active following for them and have no problem getting $8.99/lb since its all meat and no veggies. All depends on your market area, I am fortunate.

I go with the weather as it is if its nice I can make and sell kabobs. We are doing gourmet burgers in our add for a weekend first time we have had them there and doing a demo. Doing that the weekend before Memorial day weekend so they can try and hopefully sell them good for Memorial day. I love doing summer set ups! Cant wait for warm weather and steaks flying off the shelf!!

Been moving Patties like there is no tomorrow lately

Had our Special Burger (Brisket, chuck and sirloin mix) on sale last week and sold 579lbs of them
That's more then I sold all of last month of them

Ran Bratwurst and Italian Patties this weekend and sold over 150 lbs

Ka Bobs are ramping up

I really hope they do not catch up to the burgers however
