Congratulations David. I think it's cool that you started at eight years old instead of 18 like the law demands today. I think it's a sissy law. They should let kids work in a shop cleaning up and doing odd jobs here and there. Especialy if their father or mother works there. Maybe even let them do a grind after they prove they are gung ho enough. I've known 3 or 4 cutters who started real early. I think it was pretty common in the 1970s and before, but rare today.
