BEWARE, Face Book can put your job in Jeopardy

BEWARE, many people on Face Book doesn't realize they put their jobs in Jeopardy.

interesting  article I read the other day about checking new hires and checking on present employees, Recruiters say these days, it’s a good idea to have your employees to do a little digging on LinkedIn, Face Book or Twitter to gain a more robust picture of the applicant or their present employees. Companies challenge your employees  doing the recruiting process to find areas of concern while they’re looking and formulate questions that will address those concerns. Two area they are most interested in is offensive language and inappropriate behavior, which could lead to sexual Harassment.

Yeah ,it's happening over here,a couple of guys got made redundant after their remarks on Fookbase.
I was on there for about a month, until I couldn't cope with the drivel that my family/friends put on there,so deleted my account.

Here's a suggestion: If you create a facebook account don't use your real name.

Yes, it's true. I know of a case where they were interviewing people for a job opening. They found one lady who seemed good for the job. She pretty much had the job, but then they decided to check her facebook page. She had written a lot of things there that made them change their mind. She didn't get the job. Simply because of what she wrote on Facebook.

I know school teachers are getting fired for making fun of their students on Facebook. Some people downtalk their company and lose their job. I think an Olive Garden or Red Lobster employee wrote some things that made the restaurant look bad.

We had a grocery manager who wrote on his Facebook page about how he did all his shopping at Wal-Mart. He didn't get fired but he got an all-time ass chewing. I don't let any co-workers on my Facebook friends (except my manager who's one of my best friends) and I am careful to stay anonymous on here. This is my place to vent. I'm sure I say things here my Meat Gods would not take kindly to...

I don't have Facebook, MySpace or Twitter. Never will either. Problem solved. If I want to talk to you, I'll call you. Or post on a forum in this case. Forums vs. Social networking are two different animals.
